About Reuben
Rhythm coach.
Musician at heart.
I've spent over a decade helping people find their groove — from complete beginners who've never touched a percussion instrument, to intermediate players who want to unlock the next level.
What drives me is the emotional side of music. I'm grounded in theory — Grade 8 drum kit and Grade 7 ABRSM — but what I really care about is helping you feel the music, not just play it correctly. There's a huge difference, and once you experience it, everything changes.
The cajón is the perfect instrument for that journey. Simple enough to start making real music on day one, and deep enough that you'll never stop discovering new things.

From Day One
Read notes and play your first groove — on day one
No slow ramp-up, no weeks of drills before you make real music. You'll be reading notes and locking in your first groove before lesson one is over.

Every pattern is tied to the genres and songs it lives in — you learn what it's for, not just how to play it. When a backing track fits, we'll play along so you hear the groove in action.
Grooves for any song
Learn patterns that work across genres — pop, rock, funk, dance, latin, kpop, j-pop/j-rock, c-pop/c-rock, anime music, and more. Play along to anything.
Read music quickly
Unlock access to the whole world of written music. Notated scores for the songs you love, available on request.
